Comments:
Great show with excellent sound. Joel Zifkin is a useful new addition on electric viloin, occasional mandolin & backing vocals. Ex Lucinda Williams bassist and Fabio Capello lookie-likie Taras Prodaniuk was excellent. Regular RTB stalwarts Pete Zorn and Michael "no cymbals above elbow height" Jerome did the business. RT was on top form on guitar, maybe a little under the weather with his voice judging by the scarf, but sang well by any standards. All 5 can sing which makes for a big vocal sound on occasion. They played all of Dream Attic in order (except Bad Again) in first half, classics in second half. 2hrs 20 mins, top gig. Best guitar workout - Can't Win. Nicest surprise - Angels took my Racehorse away
The Audience:
All my age! Full house for 2nd of 2 night Lowry stint. A fair number seemed to be only familiar with his 2 recent albums and bemused by the oldies in the second half
Food & Drink:
Can't help you there. Had mine before I came out
It Made Me Think...:
What a brilliant idea; work up a set by touring a new line-up in the USA. Record enough gigs to put out a good album of said set recorded live. Release album. Tour said album in UK which involves playing the same set
