I think I've found my new 'best tune ever for the moment'.
I bloomin' love Josh Ritter. I don't think I've seen anyone live who can match his enthusiasm and sense of wonder at being up on stage. Saw him supporting Ray LaMontagne at the Albert Hall ('like performing inside a giant cake' said Josh) last year and his short, accoustic set was far, far better than that of the headliner.
Can we have an interview with him in the mag please? Do you do requests?

have seen him a couple of times at the Glee Club in Brum. he was in awe at the could hear a pin drop atmosphere...at first I think he thought we didn't like him or something, but we were all just listening intently.
Hopefully when he tours the album he won't foresake the smaller venue - the dynamics wouldn't be the same with whooping' and hollerin', although his live album recorded in Dublin is excellent. The audience rapport is a major part of the Ritter experience, as are the twixt song ramblings.
A major recommend from me.....and Steve, I'll buy the tickets!
